Frank deLoach Dinosaur Oil Paintings - A Pair

Regular price $675.00

This pair of oil paintings depicts Sue, one of the most complete T-Rex skeletons ever discovered. Sue's skeleton is on permanent display at The Field Museum of Natural History in Chicago, IL. Former dinosaur preparator turned artist, Frank deLoach, was named "artist-on-floor" at The Field Museum in May 2000. For the next three years, he produced many sketches and paintings of Sue.

In January 2002 this pair of 20"X10" oil on canvas paintings were completed using a combination of only four colors. Each accented in a simple 21.5"X2"X11.5"matte black floater frame, these paintings capture the simple beauty of Sue and are a unique piece of Chicago's History.
